Bayer Signs Deal to Provide Sustainable Building Materials to Masdar

Bayer MaterialScience says it has signed an agreement to provide sustainable construction materials to Masdar City, a sustainable city that is to be built near Abu Dhabi. The agreement follows an announcement by BASF in 2009 that it also agreed to be a materials supplier for the construction of Masdar city.   Masdar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company (MDC; Mubadala; United Arab Emirates), is scheduled to be built over the next few years a few miles from Abu Dhabi in an area that is currently desert.
