Bayer Progresses with the Implementation of its Climate Program

Bayer has disclosed at its annual stockholders’ meeting in Cologne, Germany that it is making progress with its plan to further reduce emissions of the greenhouse gas (GHG) carbon dioxide from its manufacturing facilities, commercial buildings and in agriculture. The plan is part of the Bayer Climate Program unveiled by the company at the end of 2007. The company says it has begun applying its Bayer Climate Check analytical tool to identify areas where it can cut CO2 emissions from its production facilities.
