BASF is First Firm to Present a ‘Carbon Balance’ for its Operations

BASF says it has become the first company to present a comprehensive “carbon balance” for its operations. The results demonstrate that BASF products can save three times more greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than the entire amount caused by production and disposal, BASF says. The carbon balance shows for the first time emissions from the company’s production and takes into account emissions from raw materials and precursors, as well as the disposal of all products. BASF has also looked at the lifecycle of 90 key products that save carbon dioxide...
