EnviroTech :: Catalysts and Licensing Gelest Signs Organosilicon Compounds Licensing Agreement9:36 PM MST | February 8, 2011 | Vincent Valk in Charlotte, NC Gelest (Morrisville, PA) has signed a licensing agreement with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (U of I; Champaign, IL) to produce and market organosilicon compounds for use in cross-coupling reactions, the company announced today. The technology, which is currently in the research stage, is aimed at synthetic applications in the pharmaceutical industry. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, though Gelest is providing U of I with an upfront payment for the license and royalties on any revenue generated from the compounds. The...
