Clariant and Siemens form coal gasification technology alliance with focus on China

Clariant announced today that it has signed an agreement with Siemens' fuel gasification technology unit to cooperate in the commercialization of a new, jointly developed sour gas shift (SGS) technology for coal gasification. Under the terms of the agreement, Clariant will be the exclusive supplier of catalyst for all of Siemens' gasification integrated SGS projects. The collaboration covers all global projects with a special emphasis on commercializing the technology in China, the region with the highest growth rate of coal-to-chemicals projects. ...
