Wacker Opens Process-Development Unit for Biologics in Germany

Wacker Chemie says it has opened a previously announced new process-development unit for the production of pharmaceutical proteins, or biologics, at Jena, Germany. The new unit produces double-digit gram quantities of highly pure proteins for pre-clinical development, prior to scale-up in the GMP plant.
