Verdezyne completes biobased monomer production

Verdezyne (Carlsbad, CA), an industrial biotechnology company, announced today that it has completed production of over one m.t. of biobased dodecanedioic acid (DDDA) using its proprietary yeast platform and downstream process. The company worked with the Michigan Biotechnology Institute and Michigan State University (MSU) Bioeconomy Institute to run the biobased DDDA process at a 4,000-liter scale.
