SK Chemicals and Metex sign exclusive deal for bio-PDO

Biochemical company METabolic EXplorer (Metex; Clermont-Ferrand, France) and SK Chemicals (Seoul) say that they have signed a worldwide, exclusive license agreement to manufacture and market bio-propanediol (PDO) using Metex’s proprietary fermentation technology. Metex will support SK Chemicals commercialize the PDO business, the companies say. The financial terms of the transaction include an upfront payment with subsequent milestone payments and royalties, the companies say. Metex also says it has terminated all other discussions with potential PDO...
