Nitto Denko Buys Avecia Biotechnology

Nitto Denko (Osaka, Japan), a diversified materials producer, says it has acquired Avecia Biotechnology Inc. (Milford, MA), a producer of DNA - and RNA –based medicines. Financial terms were not disclosed. Avecia provides Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) services including the development of analytical methods, process validation, stability studies, quality control, and regulatory support around the production of DNA and RNA medicines.
