Newlight, Biomer partner to expand PHA capabilities

Newlight Technologies says it has acquired the rights to Biomer's intellectual property for the functional modification of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), a class of biopolymers, and will combine it with its own high-yield greenhouse gas-to-PHA conversion and functionalization technologies to generate high-performance, cost-effective, PHA materials.
