Genomatica Pursuing Biobased Butadiene

Genomatica, a San Diego-based developer of sustainable chemicals, says it has produced butadiene from biobased feedstocks. The company, which is currently advancing its first product, 1,4-butanediol (BDO), to commercial scale, says butadiene will be its next target for world-scale production.
