Elevance plans second biorefinery for 2016

Elevance Renewable Sciences announced today that it has authorized the next significant stage of its second world-scale biorefinery at Natchez, MS following "robust customer activity and demand forecasts" for its Inherent-brand biobased chemicals. Elevance's first world-scale biorefinery—a $40-million,180,000 m.t./year facility at Gresik, Indonesia that is jointly owned by agribusiness giant Wilmar International—was commissioned in July.
