DSM Boosts Biofuel Offer with Acquisition of Yeast Business

DSM says it has agreed to acquire yeast development firm C5 Yeast Company (Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands) from foodstuffs producer Royal Cosun (Breda, The Netherlands) for an undisclosed fee. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary approvals and notifications, DSM says.   DSM says the acquisition strengthens its yeast technology business for producing second generation biofuels.
