EnviroTech :: Biotech Codexis Codevelops Carbon Capture Process for Aluminum Manufacture11:18 AM MDT | April 7, 2011 | Alex Scott Aluminum manufacturer Alcoa says it has begun collaborating with enzymes developer Codexis (Redwood City, CA) and CO2 Solutions (Quebec, Canada), a carbon capture technology company, to develop a carbon capture process for aluminum facilities. The project will used enzymes engineered by Codexis. The project is being funded by Alcoa along with approximately $13.5 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) received from an award with the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)...
