EnviroTech :: Biotech Bunge, Solazyme Break Ground on Renewable Oil Facility9:36 AM MDT | June 26, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Solazyme (San Francisco) and Bunge say they have broken ground on a previously announced 100,000 m.t./year renewable oil production facility adjacent to Bunge’s Moema sugarcane mill in Brazil. The plant is targeted to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2013. Solazyme and Bunge formed the joint venture Solazyme Bunge Produtos Renováveis in April to operate the plant, which will serve growing demand for fuels and oleochemicals in the Brazilian market.
