Biomaterials Start-Ups Moving to a New Phase

Start-ups in biomaterials, biofuels and sustainable chemistry are moving into a new phase, in which successfully scaling up production, finding partners, and generating revenues will be crucial to success, sources say. Venture capital firms, while maintaining interest in the space, are more discerning about investments than they were prior to the recession.
