EnviroTech :: Biotech AkzoNobel Adds to U.K. R&D Capacity, Opens Fire-Resistant Coatings Lab12:50 PM MDT | June 9, 2011 | Alex Scott AkzoNobel has boosted its R&D activities at Felling, U.K. with the opening of a €7 million ($10.3 million) R&D center to develop fire-resistant coatings. The company has invested a further €3 million at Felling to develop other R&D activities including enhancing its understanding of polymer physics. Felling, with 330 R&D staff, is already AkzoNobel’s largest R&D hub in the world.
