Rockwood Completes Lithium Expansion at Kings Mountain

Rockwood Holdings says it has completed a previously announced expansion of its Kings Mountain, NC lithium facility, part of a $75-million investment to serve growing demand for lithium compounds from the transportation battery market. The  company added a high-purity lithium hydroxide plant and a global technical center at Kings Mountain. The total investment also includes an expansion at its Silver Peak, NV facility.
