Ineos Presses Ahead with Plans for Energy-from-Waste Plant in U.K.

Ineos ChlorVinyls, a division of Ineos, says it has secured the necessary funding and regulatory permissions to begin the construction of a combined heat and power (CHP) energy-from-waste plant at Runcorn, U.K. Under the proposals solid recovered fuel (SRF) generated from municipal waste that cannot be recycled would be supplied to the energy-from-waste plant at Runcorn, which would generate heat and power for Ineos’s chemical manufacturing facilities also at Runcorn.   Construction of the civil infrastructure for the plant is due to begin in the third...
