Indonesia starts construction of first bioethanol facility

PT Energi Agro Nusantara (Surabaya, Indonesia), a subsidiary of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN X; Surabaya) has started construction of Indonesia's first bioethanol plant at Mojokerto, East Java, PTPN X announced. The plant is being built in partnership with the Industry Ministry (Jakarta) and the Japanese government via the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO; Kawasaki, Japan), and will cost 461.21 billion Indonesian rupiah ($42.9 million).
