EnviroTech :: Alternative fuels DuPont, Danisco to Start Cellulosic Ethanol Pilot Plant by 20109:15 AM MDT | March 20, 2009 | Alex Scott DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol, a 50-50 biofuels joint venture between DuPont and food ingredients firm Danisco, is on track to begin manufacturing cellulosic ethanol at its pilot facility at Vonore, TN, by 2010, reports say. The 250,000 gal/year facility “is large enough to prove that cellulosic ethanol can be produced commercially with the current subsidies, and that you can make money on it," Tom Knutze, CEO of Danisco, is reported to have said.
