Biodiesel producer Sofiprotéol launches reorganization, to close two plants

Sofiprotéol (Paris), a biodiesel producer, has announced plans for the reorganization of its biodiesel production activities in France. The plans are "designed to improve competitiveness while preserving jobs," the company says. The reorganization plans provide for the closure of two biodiesel production units with a total capacity of 380,000 m.t./year; the closure of a grain-crushing unit; and the merger of two subsidiaries, Diester Industrie (Paris) and Saipol (Paris).
