Amyris and Total form jv to produce and market renewable diesel and jet fuel

Amyris (Emeryville, CA) and Total have formed Total Amyris BioSolutions, a 50-50 joint venture that holds exclusive rights and a license under Amyris's intellectual property to produce and market renewable diesel and jet fuel from Amyris's renewable farnesene, Amyris announced today. Total is Amyris's largest shareholder, holding approximately 18% of the company's outstanding common stock, and says it is committed to the development of next-generation renewable fuels from biomass.
