Specialty Fuel Additives' Demand to Reach $1.6 Billion by 2016 in the US

U.S. demand for specialty fuel additives is set to grow 4.8%/year to $1.6 billion in 2016 accompanied by an increase in volume demand of 1.1%/year, to 725 million lbs, according to a study by The Freedonia Group (Cleveland, OH), an industry market research firm. The study says a mild rebound in petroleum fuel demand in combination with an increase in the use of additives due to rising biofuel consumption will drive the increase in demand.
