EnviroTech :: Alternative fuels Shell, Codexis Expand Biofuel Pact11:18 PM MDT | March 22, 2009 Royal Dutch Shell says it has expanded its existing biofuel development deal with Codexis (Redwood City, CA), in which Shell is an investor. Under the agreement, Codexis will work with Shell and Iogen Energy (Ottawa) to enhance the efficiency of enzymes used in Iogen’s cellulosic ethanol production process. Shell has a 50% equity stake in Iogen, which operates a demonstration-scale ethanol plant at Ottawa.
