Sinopec's Output of Petrochemicals Rises in 2010

Sinopec earlier this month reported unaudited production statistics covering 2010. The company's ethylene output rose 35% to 9.059 million m.t. while plastics and resins recorded a 26% increase to 13 million m.t.. Output of synthetic rubbers rose close to 10% to 967,000 m.t. while fibers recorded a 7% increase in output to 1.4 million m.t. Sinopec, however, reported a drop in urea production by 30% to 1.22 million m.t..
