Economics :: Prices Producers Hike Prices, Again11:08 AM MDT | June 26, 2009 | Lindsey Bewley Basic chemical producers have announced another round of price increases to be implemented on July 1 or as contracts allow. They cite rising raw material costs and inadequate margins. Oxea (Oberhausen, Germany) says it will increase list and off-list prices on carboxylic acids. Prices for 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase €100/m.t. in Europe, 12 cts/lb in North America, and $200/m.t. in Asia. Isononanoic acid will increase €100/m.t. in Europe, 7 cts/lb in North America, and $150/m.t. in Asia. Butyric Acids will rise €50/m.t. in Europe and...
