A key factor behind the resilient earnings has been improved pricing efforts. DuPont says it achieved its 17th consecutive quarter of price increases. Price increases across its business equaled or outpaced escalating raw material and energy costs and generated a positive net impact of 8 cts, or 6%, to earnings per share in the quarter.
