North American Ink Prices Rise

Sun Chemical and Flint Group each have announced ink price increases. Sun says it will increase North American commercial, publication, and news ink prices by 11%, effective October 1. Flint says it will increase North American ink prices by October 1. Flint says prices will rise for publication gravure by 10%, publication heat set by 8%, and news ink by 6%. Also, prices will rise for sheet fed ink by 5%-7%, and for packaging ink up to 12%, depending on product technology and color, Flint says.
