The global market for fermentation ingredients is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7%, leading to sales of $22.3 billion by the end of 2013, according to a report published by BCC Research (Wellesley, MA). The market for fermentation ingredients, which includes amino acids and industrial enzymes, was worth nearly $16 billion in 2008.
