Economics :: Prices Certain Resin Prices Rise; Hexion Streamlines Unit11:19 AM MDT | June 26, 2009 | Esther D’amico Prices of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins used in composites are rising amid increasing costs for raw materials, including dicyclopentadiene, phthalic anhydride, propylene glycol, and styrene, suppliers say. “Crude oil prices have shot up and, with that, the intermediates have followed,” a Hexion Specialty Chemical spokesperson tells CW.
