Olefin prices have followed the rise in crude, but not enough to fully recover the cost increase, producers say. Ethylene spot prices quickly firmed from a low of 45.5 cts/lb, to reach 48 cts-49 cts/lb by CW presstime, as buyers worked to lock in volume for March before feedstocks increase further. Spot propylene markets were quiet.
