Thus, we continue to post a green banner but one with a yellowish tint. 2Q GDP up 1.0% annual pace (slower than previous estimate) New Home Sales down 0.7%; up 6.8% Y/Y Durable Orders up 4.0%; up 9.1% Y/Y Richmond Fed Mfg. Survey down 9 points to ‐10 (contracting) BUSINESS OF CHEMISTRY STATUS For the business of chemistry, the indicators bring to mind a yellowish banner for basic and specialty chemicals.
