MACROECONOMIC STATUS Our running tab of positive indicators slipped by one to 11 out of 20 this week. Thus, we continue to post a yellow banner. Non-Farm Payrolls up 163,000 Unemployment Rate up 0.1 points, to 8.3% Consumer Confidence up 3.2 points, to 65.9 (still low) Personal Income up 0.5%; up 1.7% YOY (real DPI) Consumer Spending –flat–; up 2.0% YOY (real) Construction Spending up 0.4%; up 7.0% YOY Light Vehicle Sales down 14.1 million units Factory Orders down 0.5%; up 10.1% YOY ISM Manufacturing PMI up 0.1 points, to 49.8 (still contracting) ISM...
