CW75 Stock Performance

The CW 75 fell 4% for the week ended September 1, despite recent reports of manufacturing gains in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. The Morgan Stanley global composite and the S&P 500 indexes declined 2% and 3%, respectively. Investors’ steered clear of financial stocks which drove the overall market down. Basic chemical shares dropped 3.6%, diversified chemical stocks, 4.4%, and specialty chemical shares slipped 2.2%.
