CW75 Stock Performance

The CW75 gained 5.2% for the week ended August 25, outperforming the Morgan Stanley global composite and the S&P 500 indexes, which gained 4% and 3.8%, respectively. The index is up 28% year-to-day and 36% from early-March lows. Basic chemical shares gained 6%, diversified shares added 4.9% and specialty stocks were up 2.5%. Sixty-five companies posted gains for the week, and ten posted losses. Cambrex posted the biggest percentage gain at 13.7%, followed by DSM and BASF, which rose 11.6% and 11.4% respectively.
