Panel Discussion: The Practical Impact of the New Homeland Security Law
With the deadline for companies to complete their facility profiles under the new Chemical Facility Anti Terrorism Standards (CFATS) federal plant security law already upon the industry, the Department of Homeland Security will be at work using that information to allocate facility tier levels. However, chemical shippers and carriers still have a lot of questions about the law and its Appendix A list of chemicals to be regulated, including what will be the final cost and operational impact of compliance.
