Mukesh Ambani Moves into 27-Story, $1-Billion Home

Reliance CEO Mukesh Ambani has moved into his new home, an ever-so-quaint 27 story skyscraper in Mumbai. Yes, you read that right. 27 stories. To be occupied by Ambani, his wife and 3 children.

The house, located in the upscale Altamont Road district of Mumbai, is named after the mythical island of Antilia and is estimated to cost about £630 million, or nearly $1 billion. Talk about a bargain.

The 323,000-square foot, 568- foot tall house (is house really appropriate? How about super-structure or mega-manse?) reportedly contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, a ballroom, a 50 seat cinema, a swimming pool and multiple lounges and guestrooms. The roof has three helicopter pads (I guess he couldn’t fit a fourth heli-pad) and what home wouldn’t be complete without underground parking for 160 cars?  A staff of about 600 is required to maintain the home.

I hope I’m invited to the housewarming. But then again, what would I gift to the man who has everything?
