PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC; Bangkok), Thailand’s largest producer of petrochemicals, has selected technologies for its $5.7-billion project at Dilles Bottom, OH. The company plans to use the Technip-owned Stone & Webster process in the project’s 1-million m.t./year shale ethane–based ethylene plant. PTTGC, meanwhile, says that it will use Ineos technology in the planned complex’s 700,000-m.t./year high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant because the process can make products that fit the US market....
