The US Environmental Protectiona Agency (EPA) has proposed adding the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics’ McCaffrey facility at Village of Hoosick Falls, New York, to its Superfund list of the country’s most hazardous waste sites over groundwater contamination with perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), a processing aid for fluoropolymers, and trichloroethylene.
