A. Schulman has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Citadel Plastics Holdings (West Chicago, IL) for $800 million. Citadel produces thermoset composites and thermoplastic compounds for specialty product applications across multiple sectors, including transportation, industrial and construction, electrical, energy, and health care and safety, Schulman says. Citadel has annual sales of about $525 million and Ebitda of about $75 million. The deal is expected to close by the end of May.
