The US Coast Guard  reopened the Houston Ship Channel to barge traffic this morning, but Galveston Bay remains closed to shipping, according to local reports on 25 March. Oxea has begun basic engineering for a 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) unit and a propanol unit at its Bay City, TX, facility. Both are scheduled to start up in late 2016, the company says.
