Axiall Corp. (Atlanta, Georgia) says a year-over-year (YOY) decline in selling prices cut into the second-quarter sales and profitability of both its chlorovinyls segment and building products segment. The company reports an overall second-quarter net loss of $27.8 million, down from the net profit of $20.6 million in the year-ago period. Net sales totaled $776.1 million, down 11% YOY.
