Wanhua Chemical (America) is increasing the price of polyurethane precursors methylene di-para-phenylene diisocyanate (MDI), toluene diisocyanate (TDI), and polyols in North America and the Caribbean, effective 1 May. Wannate-brand MDI and TDI will increase by 6 cts/lb, and Wanol polyol products will increase by 5 cts/lb. The company cites “evolving market conditions”....

Dow Chemical says it will appeal a polyurethanes price-fixing class-action judgment to the US Supreme Court. In September, the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit affirmed a jury verdict awarding the plaintiffs $1.06 billion.
