US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a withhold release order against imports of soda ash, calcium chloride, caustic soda, and viscose or rayon fiber produced by Tangshan Sanyou Group (Tangshan, Hebei Province, China) and its subsidiaries in China. The order, which requires detention at all US ports of entry, is based on information indicating that the products are being made with convict or forced labor, CBP says.
