Braskem's third-quarter consolidated net income came to 818 million reais ($255.67 million), down 45% year-over-year (YOY). The consolidated EBITDA denominated in dollars, was $924 million, up 6% YOY. the main factors contributing to the performance were higher-volume resin sales in the Brazilian market; better resin spreads in the international market; and a higher contribution from the Ethylene XXI complex in Mexico. Ineos Olefins & Polymers USA has acquired all shares of WLP Holding Corp. (Fort Worth, Texas), a producer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes.
