Ineos Olefins & Polymers USA has acquired all shares of WLP Holding Corp. (Fort Worth, Texas), a producer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes. Operating as WL Plastics, the company has over 500 million lbs (230,000 metric tons) per year of pipe capacity at plants in Kentucky, South Dakota, Utah, Texas, and Wyoming. Trinseo is expanding capacity to produce solution-styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) at its facility in Schkopau, Germany, by 50,000 metric tons/year, with startup expected by January 2018.
