Axiall (Atlanta) says lower electrochemical unit values and higher ethylene costs cut into third-quarter volume gains. Net income totaled $44.5 million, up 6% year-on-year (YOY) from $39.0 million. Trinseo (Berwyn, PA),  formerly Styron, says it is reorganizing its business divisions into two groups and reassigning members of the executive team. A newly created performance materials division will include rubber, latex, and performance plastics consisting of the automotive and consumer essential markets businesses.
