One worker was killed and two others seriously injured on 6 December at DAK Americas’ Columbia site in Gaston, South Carolina, says parent Alpek (Monterrey, Mexico). The government of Alberta has approved two propane dehydrogenation (PDH) projects for royalty credits under the province’s Petrochemical’s Diversification Program (PDP). A C$4 billion integrated propylene-polypropylene facility proposed by Pembina Pipeline Corporation and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) would receive credits of up to C$300 million. A C$1.85 billion propylene plant proposed by Inter Pipeline would receive credits of up to $C200 billion. Both projects remain in the planning phase....
