Westlake Chemical Corporation (Houston) says in its quarterly earnings release that it has completed a turnaround and 250-million pound/year (113,000 metric tons/year) ethylene expansion at its Petro 1 facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana, which is currently being restarted. The facility's return to the market should help improve ethylene supply in the US, which has been tightened by a lengthy turnaround season, say IHS analysts....
